Announced Samsung Galaxy S III
Announced Samsung Galaxy S III

Specifications in General:
The main features which separate it from the rest of the android crowd is its Samsung Exynos4 Quad core processor which gives powerful processing with a great multitasking efficiency and energy savings. It also provides developers to easily update their softwares at minimal costs. Runs Ice Cream Sandwich version of Android which was expected.
1GB of RAM, 16 or 32GB of storage and separate SD card slot, and radios for Bluetooth 4.0, WiFi, and NFC connectivity. Around the back of the device is an 8-megapixel camera pod. 2,100mAh battery, thats cool. Boasts 1.9 MP front facing camera. 4.8 Inches screen with 720P display.
How does it feel in the hand?
The 4.8-inch screen with 720P display is counter-balanced by the thin bezel, resulting in a shape that is still comfortable to hold. It feels very light, a mere 133g (4.7 ounces -- just a smidgen heavier than the HTC One X), and measures 8.6mm (0.34 inches) deep across its central waistline. (Thats right, theres no more chin.)

The design is very similar like Samsung Galaxy Nexus, with smooth edges and glossy body.
Samsung is calling this version of TouchWiz Nature UX. They havent removed that annoying hard ware button in the bottom which I like and dislike. I dislike it because when Ice Cream Sandwich is providing the action bar, it doesnt need any physical buttons. I like it because when in the future when a cellphone hangs, we love to press the buttons instead of screen (believe me it works sometimes)
From the event:
The most remarkable thing is the phone detects the eye movements of the user. So whenever you are using the phone, it will know that the screen shouldnt switch off.
Wireless charging! It uses resonance technology, and were the first to use it on a mobile phone
Also has a Siri look-alike called S-Voice which recognizes 8 different languages.
Another feature called direct call. Send a text message to someone, and if you want to call that person, just raise your phone to your ear.
One odd feature, Smart Alert, reminding you of miss calls so you never miss a miss call.
One great feature: combining the technologies of Android Beam (that uses NFC) and Wifi direct (an underused technology which is used to connect to WiFi enabled phones without actually using a wifi hotspot) and it is called S-Beam.
Introduced AllSharePlay (Just wait Samsung, you will soon be sued by Apple for copying Airplay) for beaming videos, music to Televisions and monitors, similar to HTC One dongle.
Available in two colors, marble white and pebble blue.

The camera has zero shutter lag and starts in 990 ms. Can take 3.3 photos per second, HD self video using front facing camera, Capturing Still shot while recording, Video stabilisation and backside illumination sensor.
Another multitasking feature, called Pop-Up Play, holds picture in picture multitasking.
50 GB free Dropbox space.
A Music Hub and an application for health freaks called Wellness.
Launching in 145 countries, partnering with 296 mobile operators around the world.
3G HSPA+ launches end of May. 4G version coming in the summer.
Bottomline:
It may be too soon to dub this phone as iPhone killer but Im sure this phone is gonna be a hit as it has tons of features which other phones dont have. Lets see whats Apples answer in WWDC 2012.
